6 Years of Mother's Day Celebrity Gifting with Love Mich!

Oh, heyyyy!

Look at me! Writing blog post number TWO and sh*t! I don't know about you, but I'm pretty impressed with myself that these posts aren't years apart. You can thank Shell and the shared content calendar she created for us that tells me what I need to do and when! Woot woot!

Anyway... let's recap our Mother's Day Celebrity Gifting!

We have done this for a few years now! Five years to be exact! Each year the celebrity mama recipients are different (although sometimes there are some returning mamas!) and we aren't allowed to release their names until after they have received their basket of goodies! The baskets they receive are full of beautifully created artisan gifts. We are always in great company in these baskets!

Let's be real, the best part of blog posts are photos so here we go!

The first year we did this gifting was 2014.

At that time, our coffee cozies were more popular locally than anywhere else and silly ole me didn't think the celebs would be super into them so I went with makeup bags instead! They were really cute if I do say so myself! This gifting was so extra special because THE Jennifer Love Hewitt sent ME a tweet thanking me for the gift! There are a ton of really great artisans in these baskets and the fact that she singled me out (and another wonderful artisan), was so FREAKING COOL. I hope that she is still enjoying that makeup bag to this day!

The next year was 2015!

For this gifting, I decided again to go with makeup bags. Again, silly me thought that the celebs would like the bags more because they didn't "understand" the cozies. Well, of course they didn't understand cozies, Michelle! You didn't send them any to explain yet! DUH.

Anyway, these makeup bags were a fabulous leopard print and different colored waxed canvas! And then I did hand stamped little leather tabs on each! For some of them I wrote "mama" and for some I did their kiddos initials! We got some feedback from this gifting also! From Beverly Mitchell (best known as Lucy from 7th Heaven!) and Bethany Hamilton (Surfer and Speaker)! Such sweet women!

That's right, moving on to ... 2016!

That year I said, WE'RE DOING IT. We're sending them cozies, the people will love them and THIS IS IT. We had just released the MAMA print around that time AND I was a million months pregnant when I sewed these up to ship out! I went with the MAMA print in black and then did different color linings! I sent these babies off and went on to have a baby! ;) We did get some feedback on this one! Ashley Williams, who is best known for starring in the TV series, The Jim Gaffigan Show on TV Land and in the NBC series Good Morning Miami, sent a sweet note thanking me for the cozy! Hopefully she's still loving it!

Well, for this year, I don't really remember my reasoning, but I switched back to gifting a non-cozy item! These mini zippy pouches were SO CUTE. I used a marble print with genuine metallic navy blue leather accent piece. I use one of these zippys myself and it's my favorite for tossing in the essentials into my purse! I don't think we received any direct feedback on these but that was also my fault because I didn't carve out time to follow up on anything! What you get out is what you put in, and I was busy-busy in so many other areas of my business. But, still super glad to have sent these off to these beautiful mamas and I hope they are enjoying them!

For this gifting, I said, you know what, I will keep sending cozies until word gets out that these are a MUST HAVE ITEM! So, I went through the list of recipients and tried my best to assess their style and what cozy they might like! Again, being as busy-busy as we are around here, I didn't do much follow up, but still hoping that at least one of these ladies realized how awesome these babies are and uses it daily on her coffee! :)

Here we go again, COZIES. I am determined to get the mamas of the west coast to come over to the dark side and understand the NEED for Love Mich cozies! So I will continue to send them until one sticks!! This year, again, I went through the list of mamas and tried my best to match what I knew/researched about them to a cozy print! I am betting that Jessica Simpson is LOVING that leopard one, even if she doesn't know it consciously! Haha! ;) I did get a direct message on Instagram from Laura Perlongo with a thank you for the cozy! Unfortunately for me, IG does the one-time-view videos and I didn't think fast enough to screenshot! Ahh! But I was super thankful that she took the time to find me and send a thank you! This gifting fell right in line with our Love Mich Soiree so I didn't have much time to follow up with any of these mamas but I KNOW they are LOVING THEM. (Power of Positive Thinking!)
